I have my first HD27E projector. On the first day, he started flashing all these different colors of the rainbow. Then I turned it off and on again and it was gone. So I just thought maybe he was mad. But now it decides to turn off every 10 minutes. I made sure it's not set in the settings. There is no drop in performance, the indicator shows overheating. The projector is not in a closed box, but on a shelf near the ceiling with openings to the outside. So in my opinion it shouldn't be a problem. Especially when people put them in boxes. I've got another one on the way so if it's no different than my first round I'll go somewhere else and get who knows what. They helped me send me a new one and let me ship the broken one.
