Review on 📀 Sony Internal Dual-Layer DVD Burner DRU840A - 20x Burn Speed by Jim Raju

The documentation is divided into several different multilingual sheets. Kinda hard to follow. It was a replacement for a defective OEM drive. First make sure you have set the master/slave jumper correctly. If you are making the same Dell replacement, use the 3 screws from the original OEM drive instead of the 4 screws that came with the drive. I tried replacing the bezel with an extra black piece. Vain. The pane does not stay closed. Sony's support site states that this can happen if the black bezel is not securely attached. I didn't feel comfortable shifting the details so I went back to the white bezel and it works great. A black bezel would have looked better, but the price is right.
