These are basically the wraps I was looking for for standing wraps. After a few washes they are perfect. We used the same bandages on the track. I read in another review that getting a permanent bandage is impossible, but to be honest these are exactly the kind of permanent bandages you need. You can wrap them tight enough to provide consistent support without being pinched against your foot, which is exactly what you don't want to do. For this reason, I find thinner quilted bandages unsatisfactory. I also don't use polo wraps for this application, but use larger stand wraps. This is how we dressed the racehorses to get up every day. They're a bit pricey but should last a long time. Many years ago we made them from cloth baby diapers and rolled cotton and sewed them together exactly as they were made, but you can't find cloth baby diapers without a double padded area in the middle, making them useless for changing. There are so many types of bandages made from different materials. I was delighted to find these tried and true old school wraps that are still available.
