These high-quality leather belts are light years superior to typical department store belts that wear out very quickly. These are good single ply leather straps that are very strong and give you the confidence to perform much better and last longer than regular "leather" straps. I am very pleased with every aspect of these belts and look forward to others in other colors with or without stitching. In terms of price, I think it's a bargain compared to other harnesses.
