Depends on your destination

You can easily go from 5 to 0 stars depending on what you intend to use these bearings for. While these are 608ZZ bearings, they are not of the highest quality as one would understand from the price tag of $25 for 100 bearings. The cheap lube they use is just to keep them from rusting, which is fine. As far as I can tell it looks and feels like Cosmoline. If you need low rolling resistance, high precision, and the ability to carry a large bearing load (aka inline skates or skateboard wheels), then they don't fit. However, if all you want is low drag (not to mention bearing stress ie low force and low RPM), just clean them with WD40 and lubricate them with machine oil. There are many applications where the load is very light, the rotation speed is very low and all you need is the general purpose of a ball bearing. For 3D printer spools and filament guides they work perfectly as the friction added by low quality grease is a good thing (you need a little resistance). For spinners that don't have a load but want to spin freely, just remove cheap grease with WD40 or some other degreaser (they spin fine with no grease and a drop of engine oil). You get what you pay for in this case. If you don't need high accuracy, high load but high volume then this is a fantastic choice for the price. Otherwise, spend a little more money and buy high-quality bearings that are 4-8 times more expensive per bearing than these.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
