Update: I've had them for a few weeks now and have used them a lot. They are really very good, super soft and with a nice pigment. Sharpening is usually fine, although I have to do it very slowly if I want them to be really sharp and not break the lead. Unfortunately, the toxic smell hasn't gone away, even though I took them out of the original packaging and put them in a cotton bag. I still give it 4 stars because of the toxic smell. First Rating: I still give these pens 4 stars because I really like their quality. The packaging is also very beautiful, the colors are rich and delicate. I haven't sharpened them yet, so I hope that goes well too. If not, I will update this review. However, as soon as I open the jar they came from, an extremely strong toxic chemical smell comes out, so I'm wondering if they're safe. I will keep them and wash my hands very carefully after using them but if they are potentially toxic I think the manufacturer should put this in a box. but I hope it's just the smell of dipped pencils.
