As soon as you turn it off, it gets hot. I thought I was going to slide off the rack and it has this rubber grip and with the weight the barley even moves out of position. I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS FLAT IRON. I've had hundreds and this is MY ONLY TRUE LOVE! It leaves no trace that cannot be completely erased. I have less hair breakage and can straighten my hair faster with a flat iron. I'm so used to hating ironing my hair. Now I love everything about this iron. If you have short hair like me I wasn't sure if I should go up a size and I'm so glad I did. Okay, how is this iron different from the ceramic iron from the same company? Well, there's one big difference: the titanium brush is so smooth on my hair that I really only need one swipe. I try not to relax my hair so I needed something really good to help me. It's the best of its kind, it doesn't get any better and I don't want anything better or anything other than that, it's the best. You get what you pay for, you will love it. I've heard these things burn out quickly. I saw bad reviews before buying it so I called Revain and asked them what would happen if this thing blew. Well, you only have 30 days to get a full refund or exchange it. After that, you need to contact the company, which can be a hassle. So far I'm just a happy girl with my titanium iron. I love this thing and can't wait to use it tomorrow and maybe I'll make better choices and not get burned as badly. My hair has a healthy elastic flow. It's almost like my hair is saying thank you. So hair please!
