Upgraded after my previous monitor (30" Ultra Wide Specter @ 2560x1080 200Hz) suddenly gave up the ghost after 2 years of use because the capacitors burned out. After some contrast and RGB calibration, the colors look even sharper than the Spectre. Definitely a lot less "gray" and more defined. The backlight bleeding that the Specter suffered from is virtually non-existent here. Very even illumination through. FFXIV looks a lot sharper at this resolution, to the point of at which I disabled most of the custom FXAA/Bloom/Blur shaders I used previously at 2560x1080 which helped hide the jaggedness.buy I can't go into detail on VA smearing and response times as I don't play FPS games and so far this is perfect for my MMO+ programming needs.
