Review on ACDelco GM OE 560-726 Rear Shock Absorber by Kenneth Wood

I read some discussions online and some reviews on Amazon and decided to take a chance. The shocks are larger (and larger in diameter) and more powerful than the original OEM Pontiac G8 shocks. However, these shocks also have a shorter stem, and the bottom edge that the coil spring rests on has a rubber lip about 1/8 thick, which the stock shocks don't have. This means you need to compress the spring coil about an extra inch compared to the stock shocks. The ride is a lot firmer, I think it improves handling, I'm just wondering if I shouldn't have used the shocks that come with the Caprice PPV. Well made shocks, overall I am very happy with the quality and durability of the Monroe OEM shocks.
