I only use when the battery is low. And within 2 days maybe 3 hours of use? The fan makes an intermittent "unbalanced" noise every time I use it now. At first, the fan runs evenly, a bit noisy, but tolerable. To be honest, the lowest setting could have been slower, which would have helped keep noise down. But every now and then it starts to get really loud, imagine a playing card hitting a bicycle spoke. If I shake or tap the device, the noise often goes away briefly. but not always. It is an inexpensive item. And I understand that all fans will eventually make more noise as internal parts become dirty and their bearings/magazines/races wear out. whatever the terminology is in the fan world. But I really expected it to be more reliable for a lot more than just a few hours. Another item is a strange battery. No concept of form factor. 3.6V 9.0Wh This is longer than AA. Maybe length C or D. But it's also thinner, again bigger than AA but not C or D. Just make it 9V or 2 AA etc. I haven't used it with battery and really never plan to. It's just weird.
