They are much stronger than the quick clamps I have. You can apply much more pressure. It takes a little practice to learn how to use it. What I noticed is that you have to squeeze the rod and handle together to get a really tight clamp and there isn't much travel, you have to slide the moving end towards the workpiece and then squeeze the handle. It's very difficult to remove if you just press the black release button (looks like you have to hit it with a sharp punch to release it). It works better if you press the bar and handle and then press the black button. This clamp is really two-handed and not as easy to use as a quick clamp. It's very well made and lighter than I thought it would be, which is nice. The size is much more compact than the Quickgrip. I think the cost is a bit high for a clip of this size, if it was in two packs it would be more acceptable. This isn't an everyday type of clamp, but when you need strong clamping force, this is what you need.
