My prescription has changed due to cataract surgery. The ophthalmologist gave me a prescription for a new lens and when I went to the optician I found that it was no longer possible to replace just one lens. It made no sense to have completely new glasses done because the prescription changed within a month of the surgery and the doctor was planning to give me an updated prescription at that time. Well, the old lens made it impossible for me to see anything other than a blurry view through the repaired eye, and relying on the other eye gave me a headache. I told the doctor and he suggested that my prescription was pretty close to what you used to be able to buy at a pharmacy without a prescription. Now it's available on Amazon. It gave me the full URL to go straight to Revane's menu item. I was glad that there were multiple styles and some differences in the prescriptions (my favorite frame wasn't in the doctor-recommended prescription). Compared to a pair of optics that cost me about $700 the last time I bought a pair, it's "no frills" - you can't order an IPD tailored to your face, and you can't have different ones Get prescriptions for each eye. However, the pair I chose cost about $50. If you have a recipe no stronger than Revain's, you can save money! I spent less than 10% of the last pair. Additionally, either Revain or the supplier have found that setting an average pupillary distance for everyone is not going to pose much of a problem if the prescription isn't as strict. If you don't know how to bend the earcups to fit your ears, don't worry - they're also shaped and fit for a medium head, at least for me. So, for people whose eyes just need "a little" help to improve distance vision (like in my case after surgery) or who need reading glasses when distance vision is fine, these cheap glasses are worth a try value. They come well protected for shipping, but without a case. I have the cases from my previous glasses so that wasn't a problem, but if you're buying reading glasses and have never used them you should buy an extra case.
