Was on a trip with my SO and was dying to use it. On the plus side, you get used to having them on your hip very quickly. I'm one of those paranoid people who won't leave their keys/wallet/passport in a bag on the beach. If the bag wanders, it will be very painful for me to try to get home to the embassy for my temporary passport. Especially in connection with the ongoing panic. In short, this item allowed me to jump into the waves with my SO, hit the waterfall with my SO and so on, and we didn't have to babysit the crap we left on the beach towel. . Coincidentally, on a long walk on the beach, a bag containing an old blanket and sandals was stolen, but those bags contained car keys, passports, phones, etc. The first 5 or 6 times the bag worked perfectly. Zero water infiltration. It contained a passport, a USB stick, a car key, a phone and a fat wallet. Plenty of room for them but it was almost full. Doesn't run and again a very secure feeling in the waist. Also, this pouch will float unless you load it with lead, gold, or tungsten. Even if the very secure strap snaps you should be able to take the pouch with you unless you are in a strong current I think. On the seventh swim, I warmed the bag on the rock and got out of the water. The needle hole immediately began to leak. Of course, it's not really the bag's fault - it's waterproof, not rock resistant, but be aware that the bag can be physically damaged fairly easily. On the other hand, the pocket of my SO was not damaged during use - it only started leaking on the 7th use. Reading the reviews it seems like about 1 in 20 reviews is 1 star due to a leak. This means that the leak rate of the product right after the line is 1 in 20. My SO is sensitive and did not overload or abuse the item. Therefore, if you're putting something in that bag that you can't afford to lose due to water damage or that can be destructive to lose due to water damage, you should go to the nearest neurologist and get a CT scan, because there's a 1 in 20 or so chance that you will get an unexploded item and your [irreplaceable item] will get wet and ruined. If you have a leak, it's probably a small leak and therefore it probably won't damage your phone or your passport. However, my USB drive was contaminated with very little (15 drops?) of water. Of course I had several backups because I'm just not.
