Silicone is much preferable to a toilet brush.
I've never used a silicone bowl cleaner before but I'm a convert now. Feels a bit different than a standard brush but I like that the brush doesn't break and is definitely more hygienic. No matter how hard you try to get water out of a standard brush, it usually just sits wet in the stand. It's not much better.
