Visually does what I wanted but not the fanciest chair cover. I bought these for my Ikea chairs and they are a little tight. Stretches the material so that it is slightly translucent. I can see the color of the chair underneath. I'm sure if you didn't know I have 2 chairs in different colors you wouldn't have noticed. The lid doesn't stay down either, it keeps going up and reveals the chair underneath. I'm sure with a little pull it will get there. What worries me more is that where the back of the chair meets the seat, the chair cover is stretched too far to sit flat, it tilts from the back to the seat, forming a rounded shape instead of a hard corner. All in all, for a one night stand for a Christmas party I think this would be the deal. I hope nobody notices the small details.
