I bought this after I got a new desk that my old snap-on dual monitor mount didn't work on. I wanted one with an eyelet mount as well as a base just in case I didn't like the position of the monitor due to the use of the eyelet. I ended up attaching it to my desk with an eyelet. As other reviewers have pointed out, it's not perfectly level between two hands. When both monitors are built in and placed side by side, the height difference between the left and right monitor is 1-2 cm. This annoyed me a lot during the initial setup, but after a week it doesn't bother me at all anymore. I didn't try to adjust the mainstay rotation to find the perfect "tilt" to align my arms like the other reviewer did, but that would be a way to mitigate my issue. The base is quite large - as exactly described in the post as being 12 inches deep, but setting it on my desk made me realize just how big it is. However, I'm sure it will be very strong on this baseplate. If I were to buy again I would get something with independent height adjustment for each monitor, probably with gas spring adjustment. However, this stand works perfectly and it's definitely not worth coming back to make another purchase.
