I have a Sony A7iii and this smart adapter and a Sigma MC-11. These are all the lenses I tried on the A7iii with both adapters: Canon 100-400 IS USMConon 100-400 IS II USMTamron 24-70 F2.8 (Canon EF mount) Canon 70-200 F2.8 USM for almost all with one lens The Sigma MC-11 has the best autofocus speed and accuracy. I have updated the firmware on my A7iii, MC-11 and this T Smart Adapter. Nothing matters. The only lens that doesn't have the same level of performance as the cheaper MC-11 is the Tamron 24-70 F2.8. In fact, the Sony A7III refuses to recognize the Tamron lens on the A7III with any other adapter I've tried other than this T-adapter. This $400 adapter only provides coverage for a lens that does not cover the MC-11. Of course, this may change with future updates, but for now I can't recommend a T-adapter over the MC-11 unless you absolutely need it.
