I absolutely love this cake stand! I am just a home baker (nowhere near professional), but I love to bake and my daughters are liking more elaborate cakes now that they are getting older. This is my first revolving cake stand,so I do not have any basis of comparison but wow! It is amazing! The base is very sturdy. The bottom of the stand seems to be weighted very well. The top spins smoothly and evenly with ease. The spatula that comes with it is also great. By holding the spatula at the correct angle, and spinning the cake stand, I was able to obtain a perfectly smooth layer of icing atop my cake! This also helps alleviate wrist/arm pain from having to rotate the cake and using smaller spatulas.
