Good size and height, looks great on our counter. The color is beautiful and quite durable. The bottom bowl will easily hold bananas, oranges, apples, etc. The only real problem when it comes to garlic is if you keep the garlic on the top shelf, the cloves will end up falling through the grate into the bowl below, so lay them down i put them back in forever. The same happens with peeled onion scales - they fall through the cracks onto the fruit. The upper bowl is too small for bananas. And if you try to put the garlic/onion on the bottom bowl, the same thing happens - they just fall through the slot on the counter. never mind If you only want to store smaller fruits in the top tray, that would be perfect!
