I have had this sewing machine for less than a year and have only been using it continuously for three months. I have a degree in fashion and I am a seamstress during the day and use a different brand of sewing machine. I bought this machine based on strong reviews stating this machine is strong, powerful, fast etc. I don't think that's true. This machine is weak and slow. If you are an advanced seamstress I do not recommend this machine at all. It was mostly a disappointment to use it. The reverse function usually reverses the fabric for my final stitch no matter what type of fabric is used with the appropriate needle. Another crazy thing I found out is that the needle can only be in the middle or on the left (I think). I can't even look at it to confirm as it's undergoing renovations. This is not a very good machine for many projects. At best, they fix it somewhere. This is not for those who want to sew almost every day. The extra features are nice once you get the hang of them, but I can't get over pedaling at full speed and feeling like I'm waiting for a car to catch up.
