Yes, it solves touchscreen issues for a lot less than 2k

Okay, my 2013 SRX had a dead zone in the bottom center of the screen, making it difficult to quickly navigate to a recent waypoint. Having spent a lot of money replacing the antenna splitter 6 months ago to get my GPS working again, it was worth it as it took the headliners off and took 2-3 hours to diagnose the problem but I digress. With all available resources I was able to remove the block from the machine in about 30 minutes, not difficult. It took about 30 minutes between the video (YouTube) and the PDFs provided by the vendor to turn off the old screen. Installing a new screen and assembling the device without the rest of the parts took about an hour. The new screen didn't "fall" on it, and it took a bit of effort to make sure it lay flat on the screen and all the plastic dowel pins were aligned. Just take your time, you'll save a ton of money if you do it yourself and only replace what's broken. Reconnected to car to test, everything worked like new. So I fixed the cue block and sent the overlay back and you won't even guess I disassembled it. Yes, I'm handy, but not too much for an old retiree (who else buys Cadillacs?) Save time TIP: On a 2013 SRX (maybe others), the first 7mm screws do NOT need to be removed when removing the skin. You can just loosen them. The attachment area at the front of the pad is slotted and extends over the screw, while the rear attachment is a hole for the screw to pass through, allowing the pad to be easily rotated to the side. (You can see this in some videos, I'm glad I did it. It will save you time and reduce the chances of a screw falling into a console somewhere. Good luck if you do this. So online this is one fantastic solution to a touchscreen not working It's even worth finding and paying an installer at your local audio store to do the job at an hourly rate, I reckon they could do it in a couple of hours as they can already familiar with interior (dis)assembly planning on doing this make sure you have trimming tools I have an auto trim removal tool kit for the audio video dashboard with 10pcs for car door clips for $8.I've only used 2 of these but I'm sure in the future I'll need something that will require them.Actually I have a bunch of wires that are tucked away in another car could be.
