Review on Pair of SVS Prime 🔊 Elevation Speakers in Piano Gloss Black Finish by Heidi Jenkins

I use these as the top front speakers for my Sony 7.1 STRDN 1080. What an amazing sound, now I have a working 5.1.2 system and this setup makes a huge difference in my movie experience. Dolby Atmos is amazing. The TV and audio system are in my open living room, so I can't position my speakers for the perfect Dolby Atmos environment. Even with this limitation, my SVS Prime Elevations is very useful as a left/right speaker above the main speakers for movies, sports and music. I received a black piano finish. This matches my Definitive Technologies front (D9) and rear (D7) speakers. My only complaint (which doesn't affect the sound of the speakers) is the wall anchors that came with the mounting kit. You don't even come close to being able to mount these speakers. I left a few comments in the reviews but just assumed people abuse drywall anchors. I found it hard to believe that a quality product like this could be attached to a wall anchor and screw? I wouldn't hesitate to hang anything over 2 pounds on these screws and anchors. This is disappointing and makes one wonder what other shortcuts were taken. While I haven't found anything else that doesn't meet or exceed my expectations, I can't give a perfect five star rating as I consider it a pretty big fail. Problem solved fairly easily, I had extra wall anchors and screws and used them to mount the SVS Elevations. The mounting system (no screws/anchors) is also very good and the speakers are great! Fix the screw and dowel problem and it will undoubtedly get five stars versus four!
