After One Use. I installed it at a span of 23 feet. I didn't reef it but thought I pulled it fairly tight before wrapping the line around the bottom "cleats" on the unit. I don't know how much I can actually pull or how much the boots can take. Towels were hung (see picture), and with the weight of the wet towel, the line was about 1ft long. But the towels dried perfectly, the sun and the gusty wind: under the 1st sagging with hanging towels, the queue never fell. Line-dried towels are THE BEST: They're hard, rough, and really absorbent - after a shower, your skin is dry the moment a line-dried towel touches it :) The instructions say you need to attach pick-up hooks to keep the line straight. , but I think I'll raise these hooks about a foot. I waited until the next day to remove the lines: they don't go ZZIIPPPP, you have to hold the ends and then pull the lines back when they pull back - and that's fine. 4 stars because I don't know yet how well this will last through the season(s).
