Revainrating 2 out of 5

Keeps you warm - men

I wanted to give a better rating as they keep me warm on cold days and also more comfortable in the bike seat. However, there are a few issues that prevent me from enjoying using them while driving. More details below, but suffice it to say the waist is constantly sagging and, for me at least, ankle zippers are unreliable. Pros: So far they have kept me warm on relatively cold days. I wear them when it gets cold or with padded jodhpurs when it gets cold. So far they have kept me warm very well this winter, which is exactly what I needed them for. The material is soft and skin-friendly. They don't rub anywhere on the skin while riding, which is very comfortable. The padded back is ideal for long or tough rides. I try my best to push down while riding and almost always feel uncomfortable in my seat. These pants usually allow me to work much longer before discomfort or fatigue occurs. I managed to put it on a couple of times and the third time it fell off and was lost. I now have to pull the sock over a foot to keep the fabric from riding up awkwardly and the zipper teeth scratching my skin as I pedal. Because they wear a sock, they sit uncomfortable on the skin. The sock prevents a lot of movement and I can quickly ignore it during a ride. An (intact) zip presses uncomfortably on the skin when wearing breeches on cold days. You can twist them just enough so they don't scratch your ankle, but sometimes they snap back into place. It doesn't hurt, but it can be uncomfortable at times. Due to the nature of the material, you may not be able to keep the waist in place. It pulls down no matter how hard you stretch and pull. You just have to come to terms with their nature and enjoy the comfort of the soft back. It's not overly uncomfortable, but you always feel like they're about to expose your buttocks at any moment, making it more of a mental discomfort than a physical one.
