The kitchen helper is a very useful tool when collecting chicks. We did 50 birds with 6 people in just 4 hours. The scalding and plucking process was 1 minute or less per bird. If you are scalded, you can easily get a clean bird without torn skin. My fuse cover vibrated when I pulled it out once. It took about two minutes to come back. Make sure to poke a few holes in your 5 gallon bucket to catch the feathers. This allows you about 20 birds before having to dump a bucket of feathers instead of water. Great tool.
