I bought this to add protein to my shakes. I'm lactose intolerant so I can't eat whey protein. I'm allergic to many of the 'additives' added to vegan proteins (like many of their plants, herbs, etc.). I was looking for pure proteins to add. Pea protein and hemp protein taste awful (who wants their shakes to taste like peas or hemp!? Ugh), and soy proteins have an awful texture (chalky, gritty mass)! Also, soy is believed to be bad for the female thyroid, so I wanted to be careful. It was perfect. It is tasteless, has a smooth texture and remains almost invisible. Plus, I don't have to worry about heavy metals, weird additives, or allergens. I can add it to smoothies, baked goods, breakfast cereal milk, all with no problem, and it all adds a bit more protein, which is important if I want to hit my macros and I'm a pescetarian (so harder to do that). A note: be sure to only add 1 tablespoon and only at the very end of the Polypulse mix or you will end up with a frothy cocktail. These proteins foam quickly.
