Review on Pelican 1150 Camera Case Black by Jamie Brown

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Monster case but too small for Sony Alpha (A9, A7, A7RIII etc.)

Picture Notes: Three body pictures: 1150, iM2050, 1400, from smallest to largest. maybe, just maybe, my A9 would fit in with a tiny 35/2.8 lens so I could safely tuck it in my backpack while skiing. Unfortunately not like. The A9's peak is at a height that even a squelch cannot overcome. Also, it's too tight to take the lens off and put it side by side while still having enough padding. The case is damn strong. So if you just want to rely on the case's own impact resistance without the addition of foam, you can successfully juxtapose the A9 and 35/2.8 and they'll still be protected. in the other two dimensions once you take the foam and rip it off. Instead, I chose the iM2050 for this project. It's bigger than I wanted but unfortunately the Pelican doesn't have a case between the 1150 and the iM2050 which is just a larger version of the 1150 which would be perfect. Pelican, if you're reading this, please give me 1155, which increases the height by about an inch and doesn't change the width/depth. :-)
