Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ 3DS LL Charging Dock Stand for Nintendo by Chuck Derrick

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I finally found the cradle!

I bought the 3DS XL and didn't like the charger being plugged into the back of the device the whole time. When I found out cradles existed, I decided I really wanted them. I've noticed that Club Nintendo has offered color versions to its members in the past, and I've accumulated a lot of points, so I've waited a bit to see if they ever become available. Unfortunately not. Also, I've read that they disappeared within an hour or so of being originally listed, so who knows if I might have even gotten them. During this time I also saw that Nintendo was selling the stand on their online store but I would have to pay shipping so I figured I wouldn't buy it unless the Club Nintendo version came back in a while . When I went to buy it, to my surprise, it was out of stock. After a while I couldn't even find it in the store listing. It seemed that no one was producing them and it was impossible to buy them! Luckily I came across this product listing and decided to read the reviews. Little did I know the LL was just a Japanese version of the XL, and that stand is exactly the same one that Nintendo was selling. I almost missed it because there was no Prime on the main listing page, and when I finally looked at the sellers who were offering it, there were no "new" listings. However, after reading the descriptions in some stores where it was sold, I noticed that many people mentioned that it was new, but for some reason Revain wouldn't let them list it as new. So I bought one and it's exactly what I was looking for. I love that I can just place the 3DS XL in the stand instead of fiddling with the cable. I recently saw another manufacturer take a stand, but the reviews mentioned that they had trouble getting it to seat properly and had to fiddle with it to charge it. Luckily this stand doesn't have that problem as it worked great every time I set it up. Some people don't mind having a 3DS permanently plugged in, but I find this thing inexpensive enough to be worth it. I'm glad I finally took a closer look at the list and realized it's what I was looking for as this cradle is so hard to find. If you have a 3DS XL I would definitely recommend getting one.
