Review on White Garmin Fenix 6S NFC Smart Watch by Bhavin Seth ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am amazed at how well made the product is, just magical!

It seems to me that if you want a long-running watch that will allow you to record any activity, then fenix is certainly an excellent choice. It’s not even clear what alternatives there might be if you also want well-functioning smart functions and customization. With Android 10 everything works fine, unfortunately I can’t say anything about iOS. It is clear that there are both Vivoactive 3 and 4, and I probably think that many of them seem more attractive, because they can do almost everything on paper, but they are much cheaper. To be honest, compared to v3, when you use fenix, there is a feeling that everything works as it should, and in v3 all the time there was a feeling that everything works somehow. For example, for my taste, the lack of a touchscreen on the watch and tight buttons is a huge plus. Vivoactive 3 was very annoying with its touchscreen, which had to be blocked and unlocked all the time. The V3 track was not very accurate all the time, sometimes it differed from reality by 500 m -1 km (10-15 km not in the deepest forest). In terms of training planning and running metrics, the difference is also huge with V3, it allows you to better plan training times and loads. Well, the battery of the V3 holds much worse. I chose between 6 and 5 plus for a long time and chose 6, because the GPS module in them is less gluttonous and in general the battery is more powerful, you don’t have to think all the time that the watch will run out while jogging or other activity.

Pros
  • The watch looks great and sits comfortably on the hand, does not seem very heavy or bulky. Excellent battery life (7 days is definitely obtained with 3-4 runs per week) It turns out an exact track (apparently, the accuracy has increased after the latest firmware ates), for example, if you run twice along the same path in the park, then the segments on the map at that moment really coincide, and with two runs along the same route on different days, the distances are very similar. Lots of features, I don't think I'll ever use them all, but you can choose for every taste Ease of use
Cons
  • It seems to be a problem of the whole series, not only of this basic model. The straps are not very comfortable, they are somehow hard. The first week the clasp was bent and pressed on the wrist, but then everything became normal. Being a basic model means there are no maps, no music, no WiFi, and no graphic exercise instructions. I don’t know if this should be taken as a minus, it seems to me that all these points are superfluous, but for someone they may turn out to be important.
