First things first, yes it will work with an old Kindle Fire HD with a micro HDMI port. (The image in the description showing a close-up of the connector will help you check if your model is compatible). Movies downloaded in "best" quality and higher look great on TV. (It's great to be on vacation and go to an area that doesn't have cable or Wi-Fi.) One caveat is that I got a weird DRM error when trying to connect at home to connect to my Samsung TV. It works fine on the two LG TVs I've tried it on and the same Samsung TV had trouble connecting to the Sony Blu-Ray player, so I think it's definitely the TV's fault, not that Cable. All in all, if you are looking for a way to connect your Kindle Fire to your TV, this will help you.
