I like the warm lining, like my average child who is cold like me, I will go to them, we wear base layers like pajamas and just wear outerwear over base layer when cold, top, base layer pants first, high socks over bottom of base layer pants to keep them in place, then put on layer 2 without bunching up! I like to combine them with hold-up socks in oversized rubber boots.
