Adds great visibility and the shine lasts all night.

I have two black labs that I trip over at night on the way to the bathroom. This allows me to see where they are. One of them is also a working dog and when outside people often don't see him and can be stepped on. This collar helps a lot with visibility, which keeps the dog safe. I used to use glow collars which had more iron on the vinyl strip and ripped easily. This is a glow-in-the-dark rubber strip that is not afraid of washing. Note that the tag's D-ring is plastic. So if you have a pulling dog it could break, although I haven't had any problems. I love this collar.
