
Probably the best solution for powering a GPU that needs an 8 pin PCIE connector. Keep in mind that the 6-pin connector only works for 75W, while the 8-pin connector only works for 150W. You still only have 3 ground wires, you need to make sure you don't go too far beyond the 75 maximum rating. Example: If your GPU is in the first PCIE slot, it will get 75W from that slot. If it has an extra 8-pin header with a 6-to-8-pin adapter, it shouldn't run much more than 150W (vs. 225W for a true 8-pin header) or you may experience errors ( if you have a really good power supply). This connector works well and I am happy with it.
