Inexpensive and works great

I recently bought a new graphics card for my PC. The new card required an 8-pin power cable, and my power supply only had 6-pin connectors. Found this adapter here and ordered it. Plugged the adapter into my 6 pin connector and plugged it into my graphics card and everything works with no issues. It's cheap and works exactly the way you want it to. Highly recommended.

Audio & Video Accessory Lifebuoy

Worked great with an old 800 watt PSU to power a Super 2080 GPU. Make sure your PSU is big enough to power whatever you're plugging into adapt. Performance specs are easy to find for anything PC related. While this connector is valuable to a PC manufacturer, it allows you to connect the wrong voltages. It's not magic, it's mechanical wiring. Know what you're doing before you do it!

Works as it should Good for cables and connections

Upgrading my graphics card from a GTX1060 with a 6 pin power supply to a Vega 56 which required two 8 pin connectors; However, my power supply only has two 6-pin power cables (650w power supply). These adapters work great with no issues and no plastic smell like too much current going through the wires. Everything seems fine! By the way, my card came with an adapter for two 6-pin connectors to one 8-pin connector; However, the card does not transmit a signal with this adapter.

6 to 8 Pin Converter

Probably the best solution for powering a GPU that needs an 8 pin PCIE connector. Keep in mind that the 6-pin connector only works for 75W, while the 8-pin connector only works for 150W. .Since you still only have 3 ground wires you need to be careful not to exceed the 75 max rating too far. Example: If your GPU is in the first PCIE slot, it will get 75W from that slot. .If it has an optional 8-pin connector with a 6-pin to 8-pin adapter, it shouldn't run much more than 150W (compared to a…

Looks good to me.: Accessories and consumables

Although I didn't use it just because my new card actually required a much more powerful PS with independent pins, I took a close look at the build quality of this cable. I was originally going to send it back, but it's going in my parts box in case a customer ever needs it or if I need to pin something unique. The plugs are as durable as my original parts. The pins sit well; Anyone likely to use this should be aware that sloppy pins will push in, so this is very important.
