Review on 🔌 DORMAN 38540 Tailgate Cable: Enhanced Durability, Pack of 2, Black by Nathan Jones

Made in China. Unfortunately, this is typical Chinese quality. The spring clips at the end of the pickup base wire were too long, preventing them from snapping in properly. I had to sand them to make them fit. There are washers on the trunk end of the cable that were not manufactured properly so the cable did not rotate properly when the trunk was raised. I had to smooth out the burr on each puck to get it working properly. The cables weren't exactly the same length (which I only realized after making the above changes). So when one wire learns, the other dangles a bit. If I hadn't already changed some details I would have returned them. they are garbage.
