So I used this in my 25 gallon aquarium with a Penguin 200 Biorad filter Here is everything I use to filter my tank in order : Coarse sponge Pre-filter inlet Coarse sponge in filter 2nd stage medium to fine sponge Then 50 micron polishing pad. Use it and all you have to do is crush the pad with the water from the tank a few tones until the discoloration is reduced, put it back in and then you'll be good for another month! It makes the water crystal clear without chemical filtration, only mechanical and biofiltration! I am in the process of building a 75 gallon aquarium and plan to use it in that too!
