This tape is OK. Not as good as a UL 181 tape that costs $17 a roll or as good as a mastic tape that costs $24 a roll.If I had to do this over I would spring for the mastic tape. I read some HVAC guys who will only use the mastic tape because the others eventually peel off over many years. I found this on my duct work that is 20 years old. Not all the $12 tape was peeling. Maybe 25 %. Use the mastic tape.
