I've always tried to avoid component in favor of HDMI, but when the number of my HDMI devices exceeded the ports available I decided to hook up my Blu-ray deck via a component cable. Found this on a Revain search and decided to give it a try. Connections are good and tight, color coding is easy and most importantly, it works. The only thing that has changed is that the BluRay doesn't automatically turn on the TV and select the correct input. I don't think this is a problem with this product, it only works with HDMI and not component.
