looks good and works fine

I've always tried to avoid component in favor of HDMI, but when the number of my HDMI devices exceeded the ports available I decided to hook up my Blu-ray deck via a component cable. Found this on a Revain search and decided to give it a try. Connections are good and tight, color coding is easy and most importantly, it works. The only thing that has changed is that the BluRay doesn't automatically turn on the TV and select the correct input. I don't think this is a problem with this product, it

Pros
  • hands-free
Cons
  • a few minor things

I connected an old DVD player to the TV with no component video cable, just the RCA (r, w, y) connector. and then two audio plugs. The image appeared to have a reddish tint and was washed out. I bought the Blue Rigger and the picture is great! The cables also look neat and I connect them easily. A good reason for color coding. In fact, I bought 2 more of these cables. Hooked up an old ROKU to the same TV and it looks fine. BlueRigger RCA Component Video and Audio Cable (6ft)

Good design, great length, just what I needed

This component cable was just what I needed to connect an old non-HDMI DVD player to my 55" TV. I have my DVD player in a cabinet to the far left of my TV so I needed a cord set long enough to stretch the TV the full length and this fits perfectly. All 5 cables are braided together, plus it has enough extra cable on the outside of the braid for easy connection. The cables are color coded and tight. If you're still using component cables instead of HDMI, you can't go wrong with that. Too bad…

Didn't work as expected!

We have a VR house and one of the rooms has a 2004 Toshiba HD LCD that has no USB or HDMI ports. I had to install a Roku Stick (only one with RCA option). purchased - Volantech Component YPbPr RGB to HDMI 4K Converter V1.4 Support PS3, DVD, Xbox 360 for HDTV, monitor and beamer. + BlueRigger 5 RCA Component Video and Audio Cable (12ft). I used to buy BlueRigger cables for 6 months to 1 year with no problems. I first connected the TV to a Panasonic DVD player with built-in WiFi using RCA cables,

You look good. They are

I bought these cables to connect my new TiVo to my TV because I don't have an HDTV so wanted to use component cables. Beautiful, durable cables. I connected everything, the picture is clear and even slightly better than my old composite cables. But then I looked at the TiVo channel guide on the screen and the screen became static, like an image, with vertical and horizontal lines, but the audio stayed. When I returned to live the picture was fine. Then I tried to access the TiVo menu and the…
