Review on πŸŽ₯ Epson VS250 SVGA 3,200 Lumens HDMI 3LCD Projector: Brilliant Color & White Brightness by Victor Olsen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent projector

Update 12/20/2019: I called Epson and they sent me a replacement lamp free of charge within 3 days. Works great again! The lamp was out of warranty (90 days) but they still sent me one for free which was nice. Update 11/27/2019: After 8 months the lamp no longer works. I've only used the projector for about 100 hours. I'll call Epson to see if it's still under warranty. I bought this projector to use in my bedroom with a casual setting. The picture is very good, the subtitles are easy to read. The text is a bit grainier due to the resolution, but I don't notice that when surfing. The color is pretty good too. I keep it in Eco mode and have no issues with color or brightness. I have the projector at 11 feet and the image is about 90 inches with a 16:9 aspect ratio. One annoyance with this projector is that it always projects in a 4:3 aspect ratio, but projects pure black bars when viewed in a 16:9 aspect ratio. They really aren't that noticeable, but I'd rather it not work that way. The only other complaint is that there is no audio output. It has built-in speakers, which are fine, but you'll need to buy an HDMI extractor to output sound to external speakers. Extractors cost $20. I think you can also buy a wireless dongle for bluetooth speakers. The picture is definitely not on par with a 4K TV but I think the picture is great for a budget projector. I do not regret the purchase.
