I'm a bit of a cable junkie. I'm strict with what I have, I lose it all the time, and it's hard not to notice what many would call small flaws. Anyhow, I recently bought a Belkin TB3 cable to connect my Thinkpad to a Thunderbolt 3 dock and wasn't happy. At first it got quite warm in the area of the connection heads, which alarmed me. Second, the rubber sleeve was relatively inflexible. In any case, having had good experiences with Maxonar cables before (with a really good 2m Thunderbolt 4 cable for example), I've given the Belkin this "upgraded" 1m TB3 cable cable replaced. I *guess* the upgrade is slightly larger conductive cables? In any case, the cable itself is thicker (5mm OD versus Belkin's 3.5mm) and more flexible. Plugs don't get hot. All in all a good choice! I advise!
