I made this for my own purposes but little did I know that this is the only supporting support for the chandelier done over two screws that threaded through the case and secured with two screws that went through the cross bracket of the electrical box. Most awnings have a center piece that screws right into the center of the inner crossbar. This central thread provides significantly more weight support. I hastily threaded a wire through a central bracket attached to an electrical box in the ceiling for additional support that I felt more comfortable with. So these awnings and fittings are good for hanging baskets with relatively light weight and minimal equipment. However, if you have a very heavy chandelier with a lot of glass, you may want to pay close attention to the weight and light specified in the specifications.
