If I can get my 13 year old son to remember to use this product, we'll find it to be effective. This, along with the acne treatment and a mild, light moisturizer, is really helping him learn to control his new bout of acne. If he were more consistent, I think it would be even more effective. We also love how gentle it feels. He says it doesn't make his skin tight or itchy, which is important and I think indicates softness. I assume the smell, if any, is tolerable since he didn't mention anything else. And he would if he didn't like it.
