Sleeves don't fit me for gun day at the gym. With all the twisting and such, it's just nice to have some freedom and not have your sleeve wrapped around your arm or rubbing against one. However, one should not simply cut the sleeves off the shirt, this is not suitable. This shirt has a shorter shoulder seam than a regular shirt, so the arm opening behind the shoulder and to the side is approximately 1 inch wider than a standard shirt. The armholes also go under the armpits in just the right spot to avoid embarrassing nipple exposure - as much as you might think people want to see your plate-sized manly boobs, they don't. Nobody does. The material is light and figure-hugging. If you have nice arms but a small tummy, everyone will see your tummy like you're wearing a maternity shirt. washboard press? You will see it too. Great shirt, great fit. My only concern is that the seams could be a little flatter - you can feel them chafing a bit, especially the seams around the armholes. Otherwise great shirt.
