I bought this thermos about a year ago to store hot water for baby food. A few days ago I discovered that the lid was of poor quality, deteriorating and polluting the water (see photo). I know what you're going to ask, did you fill it to the top and let the lid touch the water? Absolutely "No", just common sense when it comes to food safety. The lid may have gone bad before, but I discovered this recently, so I can't say you'll see a year's worth of use. I thought the lid was silicone and the design was thoroughly tested to European standards, but apparently that's a marketing gimmick. I'm surprised no one else has reported this defect.
