Good reliable switch. Requires a 3/4" mounting hole. You wouldn't want to go much further as the switch body isn't much larger than the threaded part. I hooked mine up to the LED lighting system under the hood of my car. So if you look at the picture, you can see that the red and blue wire goes to the positive wire of my LED lights, I found it easier to connect the wires together, then put a larger heat shrink tube over that, then another smaller heat shrink tube over the positive lead from the LEDs , then solder together and first shrink the smaller tube, then the larger heat shrink tube down, small, then heat, the same goes for the black ground wire, because it goes to my battery and the negative wire of the LEDs, and I have the green wire with me a fuse on the line connected directly to the battery.The yellow wire was left unused.I ended up cutting it shorter n and stuffed into the empty hole next to it. So I plugged it in where the button LED doesn't light up until I press it to turn on the LEDs. I hope this helps a little with the confusion
