I'm not often inclined towards 'officially licensed' items, but due to the ubiquity of inferior imitations I have found the parts and workmanship of these National Lampoon Christmas Holiday Moose Mugs are very Well. I choose to be either my inner Clark Griswold or my cousin Eddie. Observations: (1) Their "elk face" is first rate, with a prominent muzzle, soft eyes, and symmetrical horns. (2) They are made of thick glass - the unlicensed versions, paradoxically, feature an acrylic body that fits into a child's drinking vessel. (3) They weigh 8 ounces and match how they appear in the movie; others maximize at the undersized 4.5 oz. (4) While I sip eggnog in honor of Chevy Chase and Randy Quaid, they also fake 8 ounces of highly alcoholic craft beer. (5) Unfortunately, the seller put a shipping label on the product packaging - contact them in advance if you are giving something away.
