This carrier is incredibly durable and well made. It's very light weight so adds minimal weight when I'm carrying a Jack Russell Shih Tzu mix (the dog is older and getting quite heavy). I've been using it almost every day since I bought it and haven't found a single weak point in it, nothing splinters, zippers never jam or break. It's the perfect solution for getting Max to where I'm taking him and we call him his plane because he knows every time I get him he'll start jumping and go straight into him. ideal for adapting to room configurations such as travel. However, if you are putting a pet in it for a long trip, I would recommend using a harness and threading it through the two loops on the back to hold it in place. I usually have my carrier right next to me when I drive and I don't have to buckle it up. Again, I have to use the word GRATITUDE in relation to this product. It was a real answer to prayer when I discovered it almost 9 months ago and I am sure I will find many more benefits from it. Many thanks to the manufacturer.
