I've been using them in business class products for several years. Over the past few years, I've deployed literally over 300 of these on almost every version of Windows since XP. I've had a few crashes over the years, which is to be expected, but the rest of them have remained resilient to this day. FTDI does not officially supply drivers because FTDI is a chip manufacturer and not a reseller. You can find drivers from CPTechUSA. You can easily find it by searching for CP-US-03 drivers. There have been several versions of this cable over the years, and some versions of Windows will automatically detect and load drivers for specific versions of this cable if you allow your computer to connect to a Windows update. I've also used them with Fedora Linux (14 as far as I remember) out of the box and they worked great there too. If I had any complaints, it seems that there isn't a Windows Store driver available for the current version yet, so I have to use the drivers from their website. If you need an RS232 DB9 serial connection on your computer, this is the cable you want.
