Not a bad unit when I first got it but over time the fan started making more noise to make and then overheat warnings and shut down. Opened it up and started using some air to blow out the dust balls and the fan fins flew in all directions. The plastic fan has completely disintegrated. I've had computers since the 90's and have NEVER seen a fan degrade. Wow, Intel has gone down in quality. The other one I got, the Intel NUC 8, still works, but again I'm appalled at the fan failure. Maybe they have to be made out of some kind of metal or some other material. Even if it is an aftermarket update. give me something good UPDATE: I was just trying to pull out the fan and some obvious design issues became apparent. After seeing these pictures, does anyone want to guess what the fans' problem might be? Look at the lid, fan position, and air vents. Just unbelievable. I need a refund from Intel or a FREE UPDATE. A device designed to fail.
